Liliana Scocco Cilla è nata l' 11 febbraio 1945 a Pola, nell'Istria italiana, da dove, all'età di undici  anni, si è trasferita in Italia, approdando a Ravenna, dove vive ed opera tutt'ora.

Questa esperienza ne ha segnato la sensibilità che riversa nei suoi lavori, ricchi di tonalità, di sfumature e di una inconfondibile profondità.

Con una pluridecennale pratica pittorica che ha raggiunto livelli eccelsi.

Unica è la tecnica usata dall'artista che dipinge direttamente sulla tela, senza disegno preparatorio, formando con le mani le sue opere senza l'uso del pennello, proprio per il bisogno di sentire il colore e l'opera in un contatto diretto tra forma e spirito.

Istinto, colore, forme: per Liliana Scocco Cilla sono i temi determinanti della sua personalissima interpretazione dell'arte pittorica che ne hanno fatto la caposcuola del "DIGITISMO", ovvero l'arte di dipingere con le dita direttamente sulla tela.

Le sono stati attribuiti riconoscimenti da tutto il mondo artistico compresa la  dedica "Omaggio a Liliana Scocco Cilla" attribuitale da vari artisti.

Liliana Scocco Cilla was born in Pula (Italian Istria) and moved to Italy at the age of eleven, to the city of Ravenna where she lives and works nowadays.

That experience shows her sensitivity, which she pours into her works, all pervaded with an abundance of tones, shades and unmistakable depth.

Unique is the technique used by the artist, who paints straight onto the canvas, without preparatory drawings, forming her works with her own hands, without the use of a paintbrush, in response to her need to feel the colour and the work, in a direct contact between form and spirit.

Instinct, colour, forms: these are the dominant themes in Liliana Scocco Cilla’s very personal interpretation painting artwhich make her the leader of "DIGITISMO", that is the art of painting with fingers directly onto tha camvas.
